Local News from Forsbrook Parish Council

Tarmac Gangs
Tarmac Gangs are moving to Staffordshire and targeting local communites. The rogue workmen operate by knocking on doors and asking residents if they would like a quote to have their drives block paved or laid with Tarmac.
The gang have been known to see a request for a quote as an excuse to carry out work and have started work on people's drives without asking their permission, repaving tham and then demanding payment.
Residents are advised to treat these people with caution, be on their guard and do not request a quote.
The workmen are reported to be intimidating and assertive and are insistent they will carry out work on your property.

Pedestrian Crossing - Forsbrook
Members of Forsbrook Parish Council are as aggrieved as residents at learning that the proposed pedestrian crossing in Forsbrook has now been identified as low priority as it does not meet the government criteria for funding from the Local Transport Plan.
This is in spite of receiving a promise from Staffordshire County Council at a public meeting in 2005 and the Council receiving written confirmation that a signal crossing was being installed.
The fight is not yet over and the Parish Council are still in dialogue with SCC to try to get this scheme reconsidered.
